I take great pride in this book; it marks my debut fiction work intended for young adults. It reflects the experiences of my older son during his senior year in high school.

I think the hardest part of being a Christian is dealing with friends and family who do not share our beliefs. As we contemplate the rapture daily, we feel a pressing need to convey the truth without alienating them, which can be quite challenging.

The outcome of that task is this story, "Don't Hang Around Turkeys." My boys illustrated that we tend to become like those we associate with. At times, we find ourselves as eagles mingling with turkeys, preventing us from achieving our true potential.
