BOOK OVERVIEW:
In “Jed's
Journal - A Guide for those Left Behind,” we follow the journey of a young man
named Jed, who has faced loss and suffered despair since childhood. Raised by
his devoted Christian grandparents after the tragic death of his parents, Jed
feels a weighty urgency as he enters his first year of college. Believing the
rapture is drawing near, he pens a journal intended for his high school
friends, offering them guidance for the tumultuous times ahead.
When the
prophesied event occurs, Jed's friends find themselves grappling with a world
turned upside down. Armed only with a go-bag, a Bible, and Jed's journal, they
embark on a perilous journey through the tribulation. Together, they confront
the challenges laid out in the Book of Revelation, navigating fear and
uncertainty as they seek refuge in a secret underground bunker, built by Jed
and his grandfather. As the anti-Christ rises and imposes the mark of the
beast, Jed's words become a lifeline, drawing his friends closer to faith and
survival in an unforgiving landscape. This gripping tale explores hope,
resilience, and the power of belief in the darkest of times.
STORY BEHIND THE BOOK, BY AUTHOR:
I take great pride in this book; it marks my debut fiction work intended for young adults. It reflects the experiences of my older son during his senior year in high school.
I think the hardest part of being a Christian is dealing with friends and family who do not share our beliefs. As we contemplate the rapture daily, we feel a pressing need to convey the truth without alienating them, which can be quite challenging.
If you've ever wanted to present the book of Revelation in a way that is biblically accurate, deep, and engaging, this book is perfect for that purpose.
